Everyone knows that exercise has many benefits including decreasing your risk of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic illness. But did you know, it also makes you look and feel younger?
WSCH offers a variety of exercise programs geared for those who are active to those who need a more modified program. These programs and activities are made possible by grants from the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services and the Community West and McGregor Foundations.
Monthly FREE health screenings and bi-monthly visits by a licensed podiatrist are offered at the Center. We also have presentations and informal talks on a variety of subjects from healthy eyes to coping with grief.
Recreational Field trips both to local sites and out of town are scheduled throughout the year. We take one trip per month.
Healthy Bodies-Healthy Minds is our signature health and wellness program. Not only do we have exercises for your body, but we also have exercise for the mind. Current program offerings include: Dance Fitness, Chair Volleyball, Music, Art Studio, Pool, Wii Bowling, Tai Chi, Yoga, Sit & Get Fit, Peer-to-Peer and so much more! We have a computer lab and play bingo twice per week. We periodically offer evidence-based workshops such as A Matter of Balance and Chronic Pain Self-Management. See our monthly activities calendar (download above) for a full schedule.
