What is Summer of Sisterhood?

Under the direction of Youth Services Director, Ali McClain, 35 girls ages 10 – 18 participate in an intensive 8-week summer arts camp.  The Summer of Sisterhood’s mission is to teach inner-city girls how creative expression can transform a community and positively impact public perception.  The girls work with professional artist/teachers in several areas of the arts including: music and poetry composition, creative writing, dance, and acting, and develop a project that they write, perform and record.  The summer culminates in a live performance and/or showing of works.
